Hi! We're the Chirches, a husband and wife duo dedicated to making a healing impact in the city of Milwaukee. We met in a yoga studio, lived above a yoga studio, and adopted our dog at a yoga studio, which is why yoga is one vessel we utilize to create change. While the physical movement of yoga is beneficial and a huge part of our practice, we also focus on incorporating mindfulness, breath work, and functional health practices into daily life to create long term change.
Right off of Milwaukee's Oak Leaf Trail, our new space is surrounded by nature. Being what we always envisioned, the bright space is filled with greenery, low key lighting, and as always, a lit non-toxic Milwickee candle. With the studio's super chill & high quality vibe, we are committed to maintaining this space to allow you to continuously deepen your mental and physical wellness. We are proud to offer a full weekly schedule including morning, evening, and weekend classes.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to your first class to be positive the instructor can get you all signed up and settled. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle + yoga mat. You are welcome to walk in or register before hand.
We are not! Collective Flow is a non-heated studio, teaching all classes at room temperature.
If you're looking to freshen up after class, you can find face wash, body wipes, deodorant, dry shampoo, hair ties, tampons, and more in our bathroom/changing room.
You will receive a link for class 30 minutes prior to start time. This works best from a computer on Google Chrome. Log in 5-10 minutes before class to get all set up.
We lock our door prompt at the start of class. Please arrive 5 - 15 minutes early, as late arrivals will not be permitted to respect everyone's practice.

I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and a 200hr E-RYT for 9. I have a profound love of learning, and am currently working on my 300hr RYT certification through the Awakening Yoga Academy. I feel a great connection to yoga philosophy and the Eight Limbs of Yoga, and hope to be able to educate others along their journey. As a deeply passionate mental health advocate, I have made it my mission to help others practice movement, meditation, and breathing techniques to positive impact their human experience.
I am a currently a practicing yoga teacher, Co-Owner + acting CEO of Collective Flow, and Founder of an upcoming registered yoga school, Co Flow Yoga Academy.
Outside of yoga, I describe myself as a beverage girlie who loves plants, naps, and snacks. My “me time” includes being horizontal with my pup and husband and taking hot showers with all. the. products.

Studio Manager + Instructor
Hello Collective Flow fam, I'm Emily! My yoga love story began when I moved away from my hometown, La Crosse, WI, for college in Madison, WI. I wandered into a yoga studio in search of consistency, a place to exercise, and stress reduction. Needless to say, I gained so much more from yoga than just those things! Eager to learn more and share the practice with others, I enrolled in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Dragonfly Hot Yoga in 2018. I began to teach hot yoga classes there shortly after and continued until summer 2021.
After graduating from UW - Madison with a B.S. in Neurobiology and a certificate in Studio Art, I took some time to travel to Costa Rica to complete my 300-hour yoga teacher training. Now I am proud to be a 500-hour certified instructor! My class style is a creative and fun vinyasa with a healthy balance of movement and stillness. I honor that each person and each body is different - whether this is your first class or you've been practicing for years, feel welcome to join my class!
When I am not on my mat, you can find me at a local coffee shop or brewery, hanging out with friends and family, biking, or painting! I look forward to seeing you in class!

In 2007, I wandered into a gym while living in Italy. Honestly, I just wanted a treadmill so I didn’t have to run on cobblestone, and instead, I experienced my first yoga class - taught in Italian. Weirdly enough, I felt liberated not being able to understand my teacher. Just like you, I’ve spent a considerable amount of my life obsessing about doing things perfectly. To my surprise, it was an incredible lesson in slowing down and learning how to give and accept compassion for myself and others. It was such a joyous surprise to enjoy being in my body more than in my head - something I have always enjoyed about dancing, running, swimming, and gymnastics.
So in 2012, I flew across the ocean to study and learn from Karin Kuhn and Nadia Toraman at the Maui Yoga Shala.
Since completing my 200hr yoga teacher training, I have been teaching Vinyasa-style yoga classes across Milwaukee offering what I consider a specialized vibe of “do your own thing” and “let’s see what’s possible”. Some days my students ask for guidance to practice challenging, seemingly mind-bending poses where they can get “lost” for a little while (let’s be honest, Beyonce might do all the work here). Some days, they need a space to feel seen, heard, and supported. Guess what - all of it is a part of yoga and I’m very excited to be offering it for the Collective Flow MKE community.
Let’s flow together!

I was never an athlete growing up - I did the occasional sport in school, but I certainly didn’t earn any accolades. I hadn’t touched a weight in college until I accidentally enrolled in the wrong class at my yoga studio - the one all of the athletes took to supplement their training. Little did I know that the anxiety attack I had prior to the class starting would be the gateway to my entire future of fitness. PowerUp was unlike any class I had ever taken, and I fell so in love with it that I became a certified instructor to deepen my practice.
Now with several years of weightlifting and cross training under my belt, my goal is to help you feel empowered through movement regardless of your experience, body, shape, size, or ability. PowerUp is meant to challenge you, and you’ll find me tailoring exercises to help you meet your edge in that moment.
If I’m not at Collective Flow, you’ll find me cuddling with my cats or abandoning yet another DIY craft.

Paula’s interest in yoga began as a very young teenager after buying a yoga asana book at a garage sale. She taught herself the poses in the book and the practice just made sense to her. The concentration of it, the shaping of the body to affect the state of the mind, the physicality of it which simultaneously has nothing to do with vanity or good looks. This sparked an interest that continues to grow to this day. For her, yoga is a vehicle for increasing energy, becoming stronger, more supple, decreasing pain, and connecting mind and body together into a focused state. It’s a social event or a quiet self-care time. It’s an experience in discovering one’s full potential.
Paula has always had a great curiosity for the art of movement. A childhood of dancing, swimming and competitive power tumbling led to a lifelong journey of studying movement. Paula earned a BA and an MFA in Dance and went on to dance professionally in Milwaukee and NYC. Her studies continued as she became a 240-hour certified yoga teacher through Kanyakumari and a Pilates teacher leading to over 20 years of teaching dance, yoga and Pilates at the studio, community, and university level. In 2013 Paula became a Physical Therapist Assistant and since has worked extensively in outpatient orthopedics specializing in musculoskeletal disorders where she combines manual therapy with yoga and Pilates based therapeutic exercise. Paula is currently pursuing her 500 hour and Yin yoga certifications as well. There’s always more to learn and more to share.

Hi, I’m Haley. I first stepped in to my yoga practice at the University of Wisconsin Madison, when a friend and fellow dancer convinced me to try a class. Prior to that, I had taken a yoga class with my dance team in high school as part of our summer training camp, in a loud gym, with other sports teams passing by. My first yoga class in college really changed my perception of what yoga is, and what my practice could look like. Since then, I've been practicing consistently for about 8 years, and have been a yoga instructor since 2020. My personal practice started as a way to find movement and a sense of community in a new place. I soon found that yoga offered me much more than just a movement practice. My practice became a part of my journey to find space and relief from difficulties with mental health. Yoga and mindfulness have provided me with the space and time to acknowledge myself and my needs in a non-judgmental way, and I would love to offer this same space for my students.
After graduating from UW-Madison in 2019 with a degree in Neurobiology and Psychology I went on to work in various roles within the mental health field. Once COVID hit, I was craving more purpose in my life, and I enrolled in yoga teacher training. My training has opened up new pathways and eventually brought me to Milwaukee. I am currently a student in the Master’s of Art Therapy program at Mount Mary University. I love combining creativity, movement, and mindfulness together, and look forward to continuing to grow my practice and teaching. My teaching and personal practice involve using breath, alignment, and movement to explore our bodies and move in a way that feels good. I enjoy incorporating mindful breathing into practice and encouraging bringing our practice beyond the mat.
When I am not on my mat, you can find me exploring Milwaukee (as a Twin cities native I have much to explore!), spending time with my two cats and partner, and working with clay. I hope to see you soon, whether it’s in class or somewhere out in the community.

Katie Haws is a Yoga Instructor and Fiber Artist with seven years experience in both industries. As I started to seek balance for my mental health, yoga and art became creative outlets that introduced me to concepts of mindfulness. Through mindful and creative sequencing, I weave together accessible yoga classes that provide a full sensory experience for my students that allows room to safely explore their own practice deeper, on and off the mat. I strive to remain a student at heart and completed my 300 hour certification in December 2022!

Olivia was brought to yoga out of curiosity and a love for movement and in turn found a deeper connection to her body, her mind and herself. Upon practicing for 10 years, she completed her 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training out of a desire for a greater understanding of the tradition of yoga. Olivia’s classes are led from the heart and explore introspection, the breath and the subtle energies of the body through strength and alignment. You can expect to leave her class feeling balanced and deeply connected to the mind and body.

Between the corners of my mat I find sacred exploration. For me, to grow means to be centered in a space that once put you off balance. In my class we strive to regain that balance, letting the breath guide our journey. As a life time student, I am here to hold space for you as my teachers have held for me. Having the opportunity to live in an Ashram in Colorado while completing my 200 hour YTT has left me craving the yogic community in Milwaukee as well. Collective flow has been an important space in my journey and I am grateful the next step will be as a new instructor.
Yoga is a challenge. Noticing when tides are rough, releasing into whatever arises, and allowing mind and body to integrate through this sacred practice. Each day is different, and our practice should evolve as we do.
Other passions of mine include rock climbing, wild foraging, cooking, being outside, ceramics, stain glass or basically any type of hand making.
Join me on the mat as we honor where we are currently, and begin remembering our truest nature.

Teaching yoga holds a special place in my heart. The practice found me during a time that I needed it most…and it gave me the strength to change my life. I knew that one day I wanted to share the powerful healing of this practice with others. In November of 2021, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through My Vinyasa Practice and I started teaching in studios as quickly as I could. Being in the classroom as a teacher (AND student!) is truly one of my favorite places to be!
I enjoy teaching different styles of yoga such as vinyasa, yin and restorative. I am deeply inspired by astrology as its wisdom is so powerful. In my classes, I invite students to go into the deeper layers of the Self, to explore, with the loving reminder that yoga asks us to show up exactly as we are- no changes are needed or necessary.
May we find acceptance, love and peace for ourselves through our practice. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Hey my name is Emmy! I earned my 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2021 in both vinyasa and yin yoga. My love for the physical practice of yoga started many years ago as a teenager and has grown into an outlet for finding mental stillness through movement and breath. My class style is a strong balance of flow, breath work, and time for stillness. You can look forward to rebuilding your energy stores through conscious mindful movement. Whether this is your first time in a yoga studio or you consider yourself a seasoned yogi, you are welcome here! I love a yummy cappuccino, studying medicine, spending time with people I love, and taking care of my plants. See you in class!
