Collective, meet Collective Flow Yoga Academy, aka CFYA. This school will serve as a space to share knowledge of the sacred, traditional yoga practice, while infusing functional techniques to apply to our modern, fast paced world. I hope that one day CFYA is a vehicle used to bring yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual practice to more humans that we can reach with our own two hands.
- Jess Chirchirillo | Founder + Director, Collective Flow Yoga Academy
Collective Flow Yoga Academy (CFYA) is dedicated to bridging the ancient traditions of yoga with modern practices, making yoga accessible, relevant, and transformative for today’s world. Our 200-hour teacher training is rooted in the Vinyasa lineage with influences from Baron Baptiste, emphasizing a dynamic practice that connects breath with movement. This program also includes a deep exploration of Yin Yoga, based on Bernie Clark’s teachings, to offer a balanced approach to practice. Aside from the physical practice, teacher trainees can expect to dive deeply into traditional yogic + modern functional breathing techniques and meditation, yoga history and philosophy, and anatomy and biomechanics. At CFYA, we are committed to empowering our trainees to learn and share the practice of yoga authentically and inclusively.

Emily is a dedicated yoga instructor with a strong academic foundation and a passion for living a balanced lifestyle. She began practicing yoga in 2016 following her high school graduation, having been a three-sport athlete and dealing with a knee injury. It was during this time that she began exploring gentle, low-impact approaches to nurture her body and foster mindfulness.
In 2021, Emily graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.S. in Neurobiology and a Studio Art Certificate. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.
Emily holds a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (200RYT) Certification from Dragonfly Hot Yoga in Madison, WI (2018), and a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (500RYT) Certification from Pranaluz in Costa Rica (2021). Emily has accumulated over 2,000 teaching hours and has an E-RYT500 Certification.
Emily’s desire to support individuals in developing and personalizing their yoga practice led her to become a Yoga Instructor at Dragonfly Hot Yoga in Madison, WI in 2018. There, she taught weekly classes and led the aromatherapy segment of Dragonfly's Yoga Teacher Training program the subsequent year.
Upon moving to Milwaukee in January 2022, Emily worked as a Yoga and Mindfulness Provider for a community mental health facility, Ascent Wellness Program, through April 2023, where she taught 1:1 yoga sessions for people with mental health disorders.
Also in January 2022, Emily joined Collective Flow MKE as a yoga instructor and was later hired on as the Studio Manager in January 2023. Emily deeply enjoys her time building community and developing her teaching skills at her yoga home, Collective Flow MKE.
Emily brings a holistic approach to her yoga practice and teachings, emphasizing creative sequencing, themed classes, and the importance of mindfulness. Her classes extend beyond the mat, leaving participants rejuvenated and empowered.

Paula is an E-RYT 500-hour certified yoga teacher and Physical Therapist Assistant, who also holds certifications in classical Pilates and Personal Training as well as a BA in Dance and Holistic Health and an MFA in Dance. She has been teaching yoga since 2006, however her background in movement and mind-body practices began long before that.
A childhood of ballet dancing, swimming and competitive power tumbling led to a lifelong journey of studying movement practices. She came to yoga organically after buying a yoga book at a garage sale while in high school. She taught herself the postures and felt drawn to the practice. She took her first formal class in 1997 at Columbia College in Chicago. She then went on to study Dance and Holistic Health at Prescott College where she continued to study yoga, including a 3-month immersive course of Power Yoga. In Prescott she met a very special teacher, Christina Sell, who at the time was teaching Anusara Yoga. Paula was lucky enough to be featured in her book, Yoga from the Inside Out.
Paula then went on to earn her MFA in dance from UW-Milwaukee where she studied Iyengar Yoga with Janet Lily and participated in an Iyengar mentorship with Peggy Hong. Upon graduation she moved to NYC where she took regular classes at Laughing Lotus and fell in love with vinyasa yoga. While there she learned the importance of having a practice to manage the stress and pace of living in a big city.
In 2006 Paula became a 240-hour certified Yoga Teacher through Kanyakumari Yoga and Ayurveda School. She then went on to teach thousands of classes and workshops at the community and studio level including 7 years at UW-Milwaukee. Since then, she has taught in Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Madison.
Her interest in movement therapeutics led her to pursue a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated with an AAS degree as a PTA in 2013. Since that time, she has honed a specialty in outpatient orthopedics and musculoskeletal disorders.
Paula is continually expanding her knowledge of yoga. In 2022 Paula completed 100 hours of yoga training with Baron Baptiste completing his course Journey into Power and then her 500-hour training through Yoga Renew Teacher Training, based out of Hoboken NJ. She is delving deeper into Yin and Restorative yoga, recently completing training courses in both and learning the importance of slowing down and finding balance and stillness in this fast-paced world.
